Competition Schedule Released

The competition schedule for the 2019 World Ringette Championships being held in Burnaby November 25 – December 1 has been released. Fans can find it online here.

The schedule outlines the dates and times that international teams from Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, USA and Canada will take the ice at the Bill Copeland Arena during the penultimate event for ringette — the World Ringette Championships.

And, it’s just in time as young ringette players begin to lace up their skates for the 2019-20 season.

“September is a really busy month in the ringette world. Ringette families are working through first day jitters as athletes go back to school and back to the arena. Volunteer coaches and administrators are busy forming teams and coordinating schedules.

The announcement of the World Championship schedule comes at a great time as people are starting to plan their ringette season. Excitement to watch the world’s best players compete here in Burnaby is high .”

Shannon Bettles, Vice-President, Lower Mainland Ringette League

Locals will be excited to watch Team Canada’s junior and senior squads play off — each team in a best of three series against Finland’s junior and senior national teams. Surrey’s Kiana Heska is the lone athlete from British Columbia who is competing for Canada on the national junior side.

Full tournament ticket packages are now available for sale online. Individual game tickets will go on sale October 15th.
